Traditionally in October, the ‘Chestnut Festival’ celebrates the fruits of the earth and autumn flavours in Valposchiavo.
During the ‘Chestnut Week’ from 11 to 18 October, everything revolves around the chestnut. On the programme are tasty gastronomic experiences, guided tours of chestnut groves and roasted chestnuts for everyone.
The crowning event is the ‘Chestnut Festival’ on 18 October in Brusio.
In Valposchiavo, roasted chestnuts are called brasché. During ‘Chestnut Week’, the Marunat da Brüs prepare roasted chestnuts for everyone. On several occasions, it is possible to enjoy the brasché cooked to perfection over the fire.
The chestnuts all come directly from our territory and are on offer.
